Joining Ocarina takes two steps: an assessment session to find the right programme, then confirmation of your place for the term.
How to Join
We do not ask families to choose a programme from a website and hope it fits. Instead, every prospective student begins with an assessment session — a relaxed, no-obligation meeting where a teacher works with the student directly and then recommends a programme, a format and a starting level.
Only after that do we ask you to confirm enrolment. It means the programme you enrol in is one a teacher has actually recommended for the student in front of them.

A teacher works with the student at the keyboard — playing, listening, and getting a sense of experience, ear and attention. For young children this looks much more like play than a test.
Book your sessionNothing. No prior experience, no instrument, no preparation. If the student has played before, mention what and for how long.
Ask a questionA specific recommendation: which programme, which format, which starting level, and an honest view of what progress should look like.

Once you have a recommendation and have decided to go ahead, enrolment confirms your place in a specific class or teaching slot for the term. Places in popular class times are limited, and admissions for each academic year open ahead of the September start.

Tell us. The recommendation is a professional opinion, not a requirement, and families sometimes have scheduling or budget constraints we do not know about. We would rather find a workable alternative than have a student enrol in something that does not fit.
